Progress in the veggie patch is doing well. So far we have harvested radishes, had many green beans and heaps of snow peas, and the lettuce self-seeded from last summer so we ended up with it everywhere, it has given us salads for lunch for the past 2 months!
The corn is growing, the spring onions are doing great, and the broad beans are almost ready to harvest! Most surprising of all the tomatoes are doing amazingly! We have planted a few heirloom tomato varieties. Green Zebra & Black Russian brought from Vasili’s Garden in Coburg and a couple of varieties including Yellow Taxi from Ceres in Brunswick East.
We have staggered the planting so we get tomatoes all through summer, the first 2 are fruiting already - I can’t wait to eat them!
